The Combined Berner Group with its Berner, Caramba and BTI divisions has for the first time in the 55 year history of the company broken through the one billion euro net sales mark in one fiscal year, thus reaching an important milestone at the end of fiscal year 2011/12.

Barnes Group Inc., Bristol/USA is selling its Barnes Distribution Europe business to Berner SE, Künzelsau. Both parties have signed the contract of sale. The biggest acquisition of the Combined Berner Group to that date covers three business units that operate under the brands of BD France, Kent and Toolcom Supplies. Closing of the acquisition will take place by the end of the calendar year.

Net sales and earnings in fiscal year 2010/11 increase to well above pre-crisis levels.
