Successful start to the gardening season:

Vegetables, fruit, and herbs: the “Kleeblatt” nursery in Waldenburg, in the south of Germany, is now busy gardening and will soon be harvesting too. The children and kindergarten teachers can look forward to three new raised beds and a herb snail. These were donated by the BERNER Group. The family business from Künzelsau not only handed over the equipment, but also took care of the construction.

Five employees worked hard on site for a whole day. First, an old, dilapidated raised bed was removed, and the area cleared of undergrowth and weeds. This was followed by the construction of the three new raised beds and the herb snail. Finally, these were planted with seedlings and seeds - including everything that children like, such as cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and kitchen herbs.

“We have wanted new garden equipment for a long time, which is why we are very happy about the generous donation from the BERNER Group. The three raised beds and the herb snail give us the opportunity to introduce the children to gardening. We are looking forward to harvesting delicious herbs, fruit, and vegetables soon,” says Antje Ostheimer, group leader at the Kleeblatt kindergarten.
