The event in Porto provided the perfect setting to formally honor the winners. Amid minute-long standing ovations, they received trophies and certificates. In addition, an extensive program awaited them, featuring sightseeing in the historic city center, a boat tour, and a visit to a traditional port wine cellar.

The six international winners were selected over the past few months through a multi-stage process. The Value Awards were first presented at local level. The top winners from the family-owned company’s European subsidiaries qualified for the final round. An internal jury, consisting of members of the senior management team, then decided which of them would make it to the top of the podium in the six categories and thus be invited to the awards ceremony in Portugal.

The 2025/2026 Value Award Winners:

  • Olivier Gabriel from Switzerland received the award in the “be responsible” category because, when the position became vacant, he readily agreed to take over the leadership of his department, thereby ensuring that operations ran smoothly.
  • For her outstanding performance in field sales and her tireless dedication to her customers, French national Priscilla Wohmann received the award in the “be hungry” category.
  • Andreas Keplinger was honored with the award in the “be real” category. With his open and solution-oriented approach, the sales and product trainer from Austria helps share knowledge and optimize processes every day.
  • The award in the “be connected” category went to Justyna Kozub from Poland. She was recognized for her commitment to connecting teams and departments, as well as for the successful local implementation of the “Workday” HCM system.
  • Johannes Halama from Germany was honored with the “be brave” award. Among other things, it was granted in recognition of his extraordinary dedication to the development of new chemical products – from concept to market readiness.
  • The award in the “be proud” category went to the Spaniard Francisco Moreno. He is not only known for his outstanding results in field sales but also serves as a role model for his team with his level-headed demeanor.
  • “With the Value Award, we want to thank the six winners for their exemplary behavior. That is exactly what makes our corporate culture so strong,” says Peter Schmidt, CEO Berner Omnichannel Trading Holding.
